The Adult Respite Home provides support to families in Durham who live with adult family members with a developmental disability.
The bungalow is located in a quiet residential neighbourhood in north Oshawa. The home is able to host up to 4 guests at a time. Guests must be 18 years
of age or over. A small fee is charged.

The home is supported by a highly dedicated staff team who assists guests to have a safe, comfortable and enjoyable stay. The emphasis is on individual
attention and support with both shared and individual activities, depending on guest preference.

The operation of the home is guided by an active Parent Advisory Committee who helps with fundraising, home maintenance and policy advice. With their
support, the home is maintained to a very high standard. Each spring the Committee holds an annual yard sale that is well attended by the local community. Yard sale items
or other donations towards the home are welcome.
