| The Respite Home Parent Advisory began meeting 10 years ago when the Durham Association for Family Respite Services faced some challenging decisions about
serving families. The Advisory was able to assist with suggestions and feedback about the ideas being considered. Their role continues to this day and spans all aspects related to the home, including special events, home maintenance and policies.

| The Advisory appreciates the input and support of the families who use the home as well as interested community volunteers. It meets approximately 6 times per year in Oshawa. As well, a yard sale committee is established in early March for the May sale. We welcome volunteers for this event, especially teenagers interested in earning some community service hours for high school.
