| The Bascule Bursary is a small but joyful fund, generated by staff at the
Durham Association for Family Respite Services. |
|
The bursary assists people associated with our agency to participate more fully in the building of valued social roles.
We subsidize the cost of registration fees and supplies for people of all ages pursuing continuing education courses
and leisure roles in the community. |

Bascule or counterweight derives from the notion that this resource is indeed countercultural and plays a small
but vital role in the work towards achieving some of the good and enjoyable things in life.
